Global warming was the hot topic of Ashland University’s 2008-2009 environmental lecture series “Global Climate Change”, Thursday night in the Hawkins Conard Student Center Auditorium.
How to fix global warming and its economic ramifications were just some of the issues addressed by Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Director Chris Korleski in his presentation “Global Warming: Science or Religion.”
Korleski told the audience global warming is a problem that must be handled at the national level. He said expects within a year federal legislation will be introduced to combat the problem.
Gov. Ted Strickland appointed Korleski to the Ohio EPA in 2007. He oversees the protection of the state’s air, land and water resources.
